In partnership with HOP, The Herts Construction Cornerstone Employer Sub-Group introduced taster days across Hertfordshire Colleges to give young people an opportunity to explore roles in construction.

With an estimate of 6,000 people needed to join the construction industry each year for the next 5 years*, this is an industry that has great importance to Hertfordshire.  

Designed to engage young people and give them a real insight into various aspects of the construction sector, attendees received  demonstrations from professionals and then had the ability to put this into practice, using their new learned skills.

The latest event, held at North Hertfordshire College on 30th July, was the 6^th HOP into Construction event.  The CITB, Bam, Willmott Dixon, Morgan Sindall Construction and AVV Solutions championed the session on the various career paths into painting and decorating with an exciting practical session led by Images Decorating Services Limited.
