Unleashing the Potential for Work Experience: A Guide for SMEs

The Work Experience Action Group launches new toolkit for SMEs to help improve access to quality work experience

Unleashing the Potential for Work Experience

The Work Experience Action Group has launched a new toolkit for SMEs to help improve access to quality work experience. Facilitated by the British Youth Council, their group consists of 6 young people between the ages of 16-25 years old, with a range of work experience journeys who feel passionate about the way that work experience is delivered in the UK.

The toolkit

This toolkit is youth-led and hopes to guide Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) through offering high quality work experience placements to young people. This piece of work is important as it offers clear insight, directly from young people, on what high quality work experience looks like, according to our needs.

It offers a plethora of different resources which should minimise the time and effort that goes into planning a successful experience. It also offers a checklist of questions that SMEs could ask themselves and practical solutions that can be used to ensure the best outcomes for the SME and the young person.

Spread the Word

Please share this toolkit widely with your networks using the link to the toolkit, https://bit.ly/35inV3D on your social media channels and to help reach a wider audience and using the hashtag #UnleashingYourPotential.
