Airbus Hosts Teacher Encounter Event Featuring Mars Rover Tour and Real-World Recruitment Insights
On 26th June, Hertfordshire Careers Hub delivered a high-impact Teacher Encounter Event at Airbus, offering educators a unique opportunity to explore the modern recruitment landscape and gain first-hand insights into apprenticeship pathways for Year 11 students.
In collaboration with Tesco, the NHS, and with support from Morgan Sindall Property Services, the event was tailored for Heads of Year 11, Heads of KS4, Form Tutors, Careers Leaders, and teachers supporting students at a pivotal stage in their education.
Preparing Teachers for the Future of Work
The agenda focused on:
- CV writing and modern application processes, with real-world examples from Airbus, Tesco, and the NHS.
- Assessment Centre simulations, where teachers experienced both a practical and a mental task, mirroring the challenges students face during recruitment.
These sessions gave educators a deeper understanding of how to prepare students for success in competitive apprenticeship environments.
“For us at Tesco it is essential that our candidates thrive and don’t just survive within the application process and the job market”
