Our creative arts courses include lots of opportunities for you to get hands-on experience in the world of work, including:Work experience with businesses like Clothes Show live and the Royal Opera House, Kingdom Creative, The Wine Society, Herts For Learning and the National Youth TheatreDesigning and making large-scale installation workDesign and showing outfits at The Clothes Show (fashion students)Partaking in the annual in-house fashion show, exhibitions and performancesArt and design: you'll explore and develop your creativity while learning essential art, design and media skills. Opportunities to work on collaborative projects across creative arts and other course areasYou'll gain both practical and theoretical skills in the key areas of two and three dimensional design, such as fashion, textiles, graphic design, sculpture and product design. Alongside this, your ability and experience of painting, drawing, research and reflection will be continually developed throughout the course.Your course will be a mix of practical sessions and workshops. You will also work on projects with local and national employers and in the community.Techniques you will develop include: painting and drawing; textiles and photography; printmaking including screen printing; lino printing and mono prints; digital media including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; and, 3D processes using wood, metal and ceramics.You will hone relevant workplace skills such as building rapport with others and problem-solving.
