This online course teaches practical residential project estimating using industry - standard EstimatorXpress software. The programme includes five project case studies and culminates in a portfolio and career progression plan. It's ideal for those seeking an estimating role or wanting to optimise their business through accurate project costing.
CAD for Construction
The course trains attendees to create planning application and building regulation-quality plans using industry-standard PlansXpress software. Utilising highly-transferable CAD skills, learners draft new builds, extensions, and loft conversions, develop 3D models, and are introduced to build cost estimation. The course is suitable for aspiring designers, CAD technicians, or builders aiming to offer design services.
Business Management Skills for a Successful Construction Firm
This wide-ranging course focusses on practical business management skills specific to the construction industry. It introduces project estimating, calculating overheads and profits topics as well techniques to promote your business. It also includes health and safety, plus topics such as Circular Economy, Modern Slavery and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Trainees receive CITB SSSTS certification and develop a career progression plan.
