Morgan Sindall Group is made up of eight complementary businesses with one unified culture. We are 6600 talented people working to create long-term, sustainable value in the Built Environment. We are driven by the UK demand for affordable housing, investment in infrastructure and construction and the revival of inner-city areas that have been in decline. Alongside major infrastructure projects, engineering and design, we also carry out new build construction and interior fit out and refurbishment for both the public and commercial sectors.

Working on projects and frameworks ranging from £50,000 to over £1bn, we create inspiring places that enhance the communities in which we live, learn, work, play and care. Our vision is to be the most sought-after and sustainable business in our industry, strengthened by our investment in regeneration schemes that deliver long-term growth for the Group whilst leaving lasting legacies for the communities in which we work.

ORGANISATION OVERVIEW

We are passionate about the communities in which we work and those who live there. Our people are key to our continued success for the positive contributions we leave, not only through our projects, but also the way in which we operate and the legacy we leave behind long after handover.

Our Northern Home Counties office in Welwyn Garden City delivers construction projects throughout Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. Our mission is to improve local communities, their economies and the environment on each and every one of our construction projects. We promote robust strategies designed to put the customer and local people at the forefront of our philosophy: Perfect Delivery and Social Value.

Our Perfect Delivery model identifies five tangible measures, or Customer Commitments: to deliver safe, on time, quality and ultimately to have a delighted customer that would recommend us. Through this, we work closely with our local clients to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Our people are the key drivers behind our Perfect Delivery ethos.

Our Social Value Strategy gives local people the chance to input into our projects, enabling them to help shape their communities. By providing apprenticeships, work experience, training and job roles, we offer real opportunities for local people to develop and upskill. We commit to working with local supply chain, SME’s and Social Enterprises. Our goal is to promote the economies in which we work, empowering them to take advantage of the contracts available on our projects.

We are aware of the current climate emergency facing us all and are committed to support net zero carbon measures including zero waste to landfill, use of greener and more sustainable fuel and energy and improvements in air quality. It is vital that we engage locally to ensure our project activities have a positive environmental impact.

GRADUATE PROGRAMME

Our 24-month graduate development programme gives you first class on-the-job experience, fully supported by line management and the wider network of colleagues. The programme provides key skills relevant to your technical discipline, personal development and professional body qualification.

Some of our graduates join Morgan Sindall Construction with non-construction related degrees and go onto to study post graduate qualifications relevant to their career path. Development is important to us, so right from the start, you will be supported by a number of experienced and professional colleagues who will provide you with the experience and exposure to develop and achieve the professional qualification which is right for your chosen career path.

SUMMER AND YEAR OUT PLACEMENTS
