Hertfordshire Families Inspired by New Pathways at Hop Into T Levels and Apprenticeships Event

Published on 02 February 2026

Hertfordshire Careers Hub held its fourth Virtual Careers Fair for parents and carers on Wednesday 21st January to help strengthen their understanding of apprenticeships and T-levels, and the opportunities they provide.

On the 21st January 2026, 5.30pm - 7pm, Amazing Apprenticeships in partnership with the Hertfordshire Careers Hub hosted the fourth HOP into Apprenticeships and T Levels Virtual Careers Event.

Over 1219 parents, carers, students and teachers registered to hear from the 34 exhibitor breakout rooms, including Warner Bros. Discovery, Tesco, University of Hertfordshire, Hertford Regional College, North Herts College and many other exhibitors from across Hertfordshire, showcasing the apprenticeship and T Level opportunities they offer.

In total, there were 635 exhibitors and attendees at the live event. MBDA, Warner Bros. Discovery, Morgan Sindall and many more.

Anna Morrison CBE, the Founder of Amazing Apprenticeships, who delivered the keynote address, said:

‘It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers joining us, along with their children to really understand and explore the exciting opportunities that are available in Hertfordshire. We are fortunate that we have many different, high-quality post-16 options for our young people to pursue whether staying in full-time education or moving onto an apprenticeship – and many of these are available right here, in our County.’

Shea Costello, Hertfordshire Future's Careers Hub Operations Lead, said:

“Hop Into Apprenticeships and t levels is about raising aspirations across Hertfordshire, not just for young people, but for parents too. When families understand the quality of local technical pathways, it transforms the conversations happening at home and opens up new possibilities for their children.”

About Hertfordshire Careers Hub

Hertfordshire Careers Hub is a Hertfordshire Future's programme launched in 2015, part-funded by The Careers & Enterprise Company. It works closely with local schools and colleges to help shape their careers programmes and strategy, and ensure students are well informed of their career options and equipped with vital employability skills.

The Careers Hub is underpinned by its 114 strong network of Enterprise Advisers – volunteers from local businesses, who are passionate about supporting young people’s career journeys, and are each paired with a school or college to provide 1-2-1 support. Enterprise Advisers are drawn from all sectors and business sizes, from the self-employed; SMEs such as Cariad Marketing, Herts Building Control and Cheshunt Football Club; and large corporations including Warner Bros., Tesco and BAM.

Enterprise Advisers engage with schools or colleges four times a year, dedicating an hour or so per meeting. If you are a business leader living or working in Hertfordshire and are interested in volunteering as an Enterprise Adviser, please contact Shea Costello at [email protected].
