Summary of your key provision 

Study Active is a CIMSPA Training Provider partner and has its qualifications accredited by Active IQ. Study Active is also an accredited RSPH centre. Qualification pathways offered by Study Active include Gym Instructing, Personal Training, Nutrition, Mental Health Awareness and Exercise for special populations.

Study Active’s approach is to blend digital learning, with live tutor support and face to face practical workshops. This method allows learners to study largely in their own time around other commitments. Educational quality is a key driver for Study Active’s delivery model.

This has been recognised by being awarded 2023 ukactive Education Provider of the Year and rated “outstanding” by CIMSPA. Study Active provide complimentary CPD to their graduates and can also offer them a guaranteed interview at a top national gym.

Study Active’s provision caters for a vast array of learners ranging from school leavers to mature adults returning to education. Below is a summary of the different populations of learners that Study Active work with.

School leavers – Study Active accepts anyone aged 16 or above onto our courses. This can be a popular choice for a school leaver. Due to the flexible nature of our courses it is not uncommon for a school leaver to enrol on one of our courses alongside A-Levels, BTECs or an Apprenticeship.

Work Experience/Study Programmes – Study Active have previously been involved in the delivery of Traineeships. Our extensive links with local gyms also means that we are in a good position to advise on potential work experience placement opportunities.

Apprenticeships – Study Active work with different Apprenticeship providers to provide technical qualifications that can be used as part of an Apprenticeship.

Higher Education – Study Active work with Universities to promote opportunities to higher education learners. We regularly take on learners who wish to study a vocational qualification alongside their degree.

Adult learners and Professional Qualifications – this area of duration is very much the forte of Study Active. We work extensively on providing nationally recognised health & fitness qualifications for an array of adult learners of different ages. Our blended learning methods often allow for an adult learner to study around their existing employment which is what makes us such an attractive choice.

Support for Employers – Study Active liaises extensively with employers large and small to understand their skill needs and to suggest bespoke training solutions. The large array of fitness qualifications offered by Study Active means that they can be seen as a “one stop shop” for organisation of all sizes in the sector.
