All Spring Media is delivering a Skills Bootcamp for Production Assistants supported by Sky Studios Elstree.

This Skills Bootcamp is an industry training programme designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required for an entry-level role in Film and TV production.

Learners benefit from a tour of Sky Studios Elstree and a fast-track application to their talent pool. It is an excellent opportunity for those at the start of their Film and TV careers who wish to build their experience.

DELIVERY DETAILS:

Industry practitioners deliver training face-to-face at All Spring Media’s facilities in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. Each cohort includes 16 learners, enabling the sessions to be interactive and engaging. The training content is aligned with the Production Assistant (Screen and Audio) apprenticeship standard.

The training includes a creative media overview, developing and pitching ideas, production office paperwork, legislation, copyright and negotiation, understanding kit, budgeting and scheduling, responsible and sustainable production, an introduction to MS Office, personal development plans, freelancing and marketing yourself.

There are offer two delivery models to allow for wider participation. The first delivery model is five training days per week for three weeks. The second delivery model is three training days per week for five weeks, making it possible to fit alongside a part-time job.

WHAT CAREER ROUTES OR JOB ROLES WILL COMPLETION OF THIS SKILLS BOOTCAMP LEAD TO?

After completing the Skills Bootcamp, alums are equipped to apply for Production Assistant roles and other entry-level roles within Film and TV production.

In addition to joining Sky Studios Elstree’s talent pool, all bootcamp alums are automatically added to All Spring Media’s talent pool and can access ongoing employment support from their Talent Manager.

Recent training initiatives include the ScreenSkills Regional Runners Internship and Creativity Squared. The ScreenSkills Internship trained eight individuals and placed them on fully funded High-End TV productions. Creativity Squared included entry-level industry training for 67 participants, with career mentoring and check-ins after completion.

All Spring Media advocates for representation in the Film and TV industry for those from underrepresented groups and lower socio-economic backgrounds. Its funded training programmes support this by teaching the required knowledge, skills and behaviours free of charge to the learner to increase accessibility.
